Recording is Done!
Ctrl Zed August 7th, 2006Spent six hours on Saturday recording the new Ctrl Zed album at a studio in Salt Lake City. Our sound engineer, Chris Luker, worked on several high-profile projects (including two Number One Techno songs) during his time in Europe. And from what I’ve heard of the twenty plus tracks that we recorded on Saturday, I’m am completely confident in Luker’s skills as a sound engineer to make this the best Ctrl Zed album ever! Not only is the sound quality top notch, the songs and performances are some of our best ever.
At the end of the recording session, with everyone drenched in sweat and ready to go home, the Zed suddenly broke out into a cover of two of Jonny Weekend’s hits, “The Chromosome Song” and “Shafted.” Look for them as bonus tracks! We’ll have the final mixes in a week or two. I’ll be posting a few songs for your listening pleasure as soon as I have them!

Well considering that your voice was gone the next 2 days…. I hope it turned out….. better? ha Isaac, I guess I am your worst criticer? is that a word? But know that I admire you for your many talents!! keep it up… sometimes out of bad things a lot of good can happen:-) I guess its good to be optimistic!! Actually I am looking forward on hearing it on CD and believe it or not I will even pay for the album.. if its not more the $5:-)

Haha . . . well, we won’t be asking people to pay too much. I think we’re making 25 copies each and giving them out to the true, die-hard fans. So, you’ll just have to be a fan, even if you don’t like it. =)

“Shafted?”
Is that a sequel to the song, “Shaft,” after he gets taken to divorce court? (She got the gold mine, and I got the shaft.)
Hey Ike, I’ll never listen to it, but I can have a copy anyway?

TAB,
Yeah, just remind me and I’ll get you a copy when it’s done. (Don’t know when that’ll be, but I’m sure I’ll post here about it.)
