Writing Again
Writing November 7th, 2006Two hours of work is only showing 212 words of actual writing on the Nanowrimo word meter. That seems pitiful, but this is my first day back to writing. I actually read through and edited a 4500 word short story called “Robes of the Gods.” Those 212 words count for the final scene of the story, which I wrote tonight.
Otherwise, I’ve been going through Nethermore notes in order refamiliarize myself with the story. Expect progress on that one in the next few days. I’m really getting excited for this book again.

Hey, 212 is better than my current record, which is somewhere around -4,000.

What is “Robes of the Gods” about, by-the-way? I don’t remember you telling me about that one.
But really, gods don’t need to wear clothing. They just alter the concept of nudity so no one can comprehend that they’re naked.

“Alter the concept of nudity” . . . that’s a good one!
I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned “Robes of the Gods” before. I got the idea not too long ago and then wrote the story in about three sittings. It was an experiment in trying to write a short story less than 5k words (since I tend to write longer stories). I don’t think it turned out too badly.

Could you send me a copy? I’d like to read it.
